‘Traitor’ Liz Cheney Ripped By Wyoming Voters For Endorsing Kamala Harris
Rep. Liz Cheney, a former Republican from Wyoming, endorsed Vice President Harris for the presidency. Cheney left the GOP to travel the state supporting the Democratic ticket in Wisconsin, a crucial battleground.
Fox News visited Casper, Wyoming, to talk with people about the impending election and Cheney’s decision to support Harris this cycle rather than the Republican presidential ticket. The majority of Cowboy State voters denounced Cheney for the endorsement, labeling her a “traitor” and a “turncoat.
“I’m not impressed with that at all,” Clark Johnson told Fox News Digital when asked about his thoughts on Cheney campaigning with Harris last week in Wisconsin.
“I think it’s ridiculous. I think she’s a traitor to the country,” another Wyomingite, Gunner Berg, said of the campaign event.
Cheney is a strong opponent of Trump, which has put her at odds with the Republican Party and her former constituency, which massively backed him in the 2016 and 2020 elections. Cheney is the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney. In this election, Wyoming is predicted to vote red once more.
The overwhelming majority of people in Casper who responded with Fox Digital indicated they didn’t like Cheney and thought her politics made it hard for her to win another political position in Wyoming.
