Tim Allen, a household name, is popular among viewers of all ages. The 69-year-old actor’s success in Hollywood is clear over the course of his lengthy career. Despite his fame and accolades, he is completely confident in Tom Hanks, his co-star in “Toy Story” and close friend.

In a recent interview with Kelly Clarkson, Allen confessed that he and Hanks are genuinely friends. Even if they don’t always agree, Allen admires Hanks for his brains and good heart. Their bond, which began in the first “Toy Story” film and has only grown stronger over time, is obvious.

“We’ve been going to lunch twice a year since Toy Story 1, and we’re like two older women because we sit almost too close at a booth,” Allen explains endearingly and humorously. Indeed, Allen recalls a wonderful anecdote about how, filming “Toy Story 1,” Hanks casually snuck fries from his plate.

Allen was extremely moved by this little display of friendship, as he had not experienced such generosity in his youth.“I don’t think I’ve ever trusted a human being as much as Tom to even listen to me, let alone listen to me,” says Allen, reflecting on their relationship. Hanks has always supported Allen despite their differing perspectives on a variety of subjects, and he has emerged as the only one who truly listens to him without passing judgment.
